I dont think it's a good idea..
The welcome bot is here to welcome our new members to the forum
It's better to have a welcome PM bot than a welcome post bot
Personally..I think were splitting hairs here. I belong to quite a few forums where you get neither. So to me, I actually thought it was kind of nice. If I had to vote..Ild say keep it the way it is.
The user should have to post his own introduction..if every user gets the same welcome message whats the point in a post bot..just put a message up.
The welcome bot is here to stay it gives members a nice warm welcome
